The  Advanced Child Care Training Online course teaches the knowledge and skills necessary to responsibly care for children and infants in and outside of the home. This includes training in leadership, child behavior and discipline, professionalism, safety, basic childcare (bottle feeding, holding, etc.). Learners will be engaged in virtual environments in which world-class animated characters respond specifically to choices made. Throughout, learning is supported through additional activities and informative videos.Note: This program is not intended as certification for state licensed child-care providers and does not meet all state requirements for such certification.

Online-only course (no corresponding skills session). Covers first aid emergencies such as choking bleeding overdose shock and teaches CPR/AED for children and babies. Does not meet OSHA requirements for certification.  For an OSHA-compliant course that meets workplace/regulatory requirements sign up for Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED in either the Blended Learning (BL) or Instructor-led formats.   

***OPTION: This course can be combined with an in-person skills session to receive certification that is OSHA compliant.  Once you successfully complete on eof the following courses: Adult First  Aid/CPR/AED, Adult Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED, or Adult CPR/AED, you will have up to 90 days for the skills session to be taken. During this time, you will have access to Red Cross online content so that you can refresh your knowledge before the skills session. After successfully completing a skills session within 90 days, you will be issued a 2-year OSHA-Compliant Red Cross certificate. The skills session demonstrates hands-on competency of several of the skills you learned in the online course. As part of this session, there will be a quick lesson review followed by practice.  Finally, you will be tested on the following skills:

• Controlling Bleeding
• Choking
• CPR
• Use of an AED
• Safe Removal of Gloves

The Blood Borne Pathogens Training Course is designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. After taking this course, students should talk with their employer about their workplaces specific policies and procedures. Those who complete the training receive a Bloodborne Pathogens Training certification valid for one year. The Bloodborne Pathogens online course is designed for those who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. Allow approximately 60 minutes to complete the course.

This Bloodborne Pathogens For Tattoo Artist Online Course is designed for tattoo artists who are at risk for on the job exposure to blood and other bodily fluids in the workplace. The course teaches staff how bloodborne pathogens are spread, how to avoid exposure and what to do if exposed to infectious material. This course is one of the requirements of the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard. After taking this course, students should talk with their employer about their workplace specific policies and procedures.  Those who complete the training receive a Bloodborne Pathogens Training for Tattoo Artists certification valid for one year. Please check to see if this course meets your state's regulations before registering. In addition to this training, you should meet with their employer representative so he/she can inform you about specific policies and procedures and answer questions about how this training content applies to your workplace.

The First Aid for Severe Bleeding Online course will prepare you to recognize severe, life-threatening bleeding emergencies and to take action to stop the flow of blood. You will learn how and when to control bleeding by applying a tourniquet and hemostatic dressing. This interactive course includes audio and video and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.  You must pass a final quiz to complete the course.

The First Aid for Severe Trauma™ (FAST™) – Online provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to respond to an emergency involving life-threatening bleeding including how to recognize a life-threatening bleeding emergency ensure safety and communicate effectively in an emergency control life-threatening bleeding using direct pressure a tourniquet or both. The course is designed to enhance participants’ ability to take decisive lifesaving action to assist a person with a traumatic injury and life-threatening bleeding until professional responders arrive. This course is not a certification course and only results in a completion certificate. Please check with your state or workplace on whether this meets requirements for any high school graduation or workplace training requirements for bleeding control education. Responsive design allows for a user-friendly experience on desktop tablets and mobile devices. Allow approximately 2 hours to complete the course. This course does not work on Safari browsers.

The Until Help Arrives online course provides the general public with the basic cognitive information on key actions that can be taken during a life-threatening emergency that can help sustain or save a life until EMS arrives including: Compression Only CPR (no breaths) AED Education Choking Education Bleeding (administering direct pressure and tourniquet) and Opioid Overdose (administering naloxone). The Until Help Arrives online course developed by the American Red Cross and American College of Emergency Physicians equips students with the basic knowledge to assist trained responders during a life-threatening emergency. This course is taught online only (accessed via mobile desktop or tablet) and does not meet OSHA requirements for workplace certification. If you are seeking a 2-year Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED digital certificate that is OSHA compliant and meets other workplace and regulatory requirements, we recommend enrolling in either an Instructor-led training or blended learning course.
